BURNT EARTH by Teatro en Movimiento Callejerx is an intervention that falls within the series of actions called: MEMORY. Its perspective presents a radical critique of extractivism, the violence of capital, and seeks to reclaim the people who fight and resist in defense of the land.
“We are once again in the streets, because after the social uprising, a new normal has returned, where the political class and capitalism have emerged renewed with new rhetoric and laws, so that things continue as they always have been, where the bourgeoisie and their lackeys continue to spew their garbage in their democratic charade. The press has filled its propaganda with crude nationalism and racism, hating the poor; fascism and the police have a voice in all of society’s narratives.”
