“Neither God Nor Law Nor Master” by Teatro en Movimiento Callejerx is the performance staged for the massive March 8, 2020 march in Barcelona. The piece enacts a symbolic representation of the patriarchal state control apparatus. It begins with the sound of a military march and uses the universal figure of law as a container for all forms of social domination—gender, class, and all forms of discrimination and repression. It also incorporates the symbol of confinement, manifested in migration, torture, and the manipulation perpetuated by control. To finally demonstrate, through our bodies, our resistance to all forms of power, appealing to mutual support among comrades, to ritual, to chaos, to aesthetics, and to movement, as evocative elements and voices/actions of those of us who do not believe in any institution, in any form of coercion, nor in the fallacy of democracy, but only in ourselves, and with those who rebel. From an anti-authoritarian feminist stance, we believe that our only tool for struggle is mutual support and solidarity among individuals with the environment: we do not believe in laws or their mechanisms of privilege because they perpetuate misery through their apparatuses of control. We believe in sisterhood, in the pack, in laughter, in dance, in spells, in affinities, in self-care groups, in informal groups, and all those forms where hierarchy does not prevail as a principle.

From these perspectives, a two-day street art workshop was held, providing the tools for street performance and garment making necessary for a massive intervention by women and gender-diverse individuals. The proposal involved utilizing our diverse skills and knowledge (drawing, writing, music, acting, etc.), which were fused into a single performative proposal.
